Cardmaker & Quietfire Design Blog Hop

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Quietfire Design and CardMaker Magazine Blog Hop. If you arrived here from Yogi Grunwald’s blog, you are on the right track. If you found your way here on your own, head over to the CardMaker Magazine blog so you can start hopping from the beginning! Be sure to visit all the blogs along the hop and leave comments as you go!  When you get to the end, Suzanne from Quietfire Design will have the details on a giveaway for a $50 gift certificate to the Quietfire online store.

I was sent a few stamps to play with. They all had such great sayings it was hard to choose which one to use for my blog hop card. I finally decided to use one of Quietfire’s newer stamps, “The Best Thing I Ever Did” for the blog hop and I plan to use the other ones for some beautiful Christmas cards so be sure to check back and see those creations!

For my card today, I began by creating the background using a stencil and distress inks. I was heavier with the ink in the two opposite corners so your eye would be drawn towards the beautiful sentiment which is the focal point of the card.

I stamped the hand lettered, inspirational saying on white cardstock and cut it out with an oval die. I used dimensional adhesive to lift the sentiment from the front of the card and tucked some die cut flowers underneath it.

Hope you enjoyed your visit! Next up on the hop is Wanda Hentges. If you get lost along the hop you can find a complete list below and at the CardMaker blog.

  1. Wonderful sentiment. We have to believe
in ourselves or we’ll get nowhere.
    The leaves are beautiful.
    great card.
    thanks for sharing.

  2. Love the use of the stencil, die cuts, and the fall colors to support the very special saying. All together, a card that anyone would appreciate receiving!!

I'd love to hear from you!
