Get Well Card with My Favorite Things Doodled Blooms

Today I made a get well card for my aunt who just had heart surgery. Hopefully these cheerful blooms from My Favorite Stamps will brighten her day!

I started by stamping the bloom images on Copic X-Press Blending Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I cut them out using the coordinating dies and then colored them in with Copic markers.

TIP: Cut your images out before coloring them in. There’s nothing worse than spending a bunch of time coloring only to have the die shift and ruin your hard work — speaking from experience here!  😉

Next I used the Misti precision stamping tool to stamp the stems and sentiment directly on the A2 card base. Using the Misti allowed me to get perfect placement.

Lastly, I attached the blooms to the card with thin foam adhesive squares. I used two squares under the center flower to give it a little more height.
