Today I’m playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Stamp it Challenge where they are celebrating STAMPtember. I just ordered two of the exclusive STAMPtember sets this morning and I can’t wait to get my hands on them.
Since I don’t have my exclusive STAMPtember stamps yet — I used another new stamp set that just became available this month — the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags.
I love coffee stamps almost as much as I love coffee! And these will be perfect for creating some delicious Christmas cards!
I am also playing along with the Paper Players Color Challenge — make a card using Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz — a great fall combination!
To create the watercolor background on my card, I scribbled on a large acrylic block with yellow and green Tombow Dual Brush Markers. Then I spritzed it with water and pressed it onto a piece of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White cardstock. (I would have preferred to use watercolor paper but for the life of me, I can’t find where I put it. 😕 )
The coffee cup is stamped and cut with the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags Stamp Set and Dies. It is meant to be a Christmas set but I think by using Fall colors I’ve made it work for the Autumn season!
I pieced together the coffee cup and attached it to the card with foam adhesive for added dimension. Then I finished the card off with some sequins for a bit of bling.
