Today I am playing along with MFT Color Challenge 54 and Paper Players Theme Challenge (Happy Halloween). I made my card with a hodge podge of stamp sets. Being able to mix and match is one of the advantages of owning so many sets. (I may or may not be a craft supply hoarder 😉 )
The centerpiece of my card is my sweet little friend from My Favorite Things Jumping with Joy. I love that by simply changing the color of her clothing or hair you can totally change her personality — it’s like a new stamp every time. I colored her in with Copics to match the color scheme for the MFT Color Challenge.
To add dimension to my card I lifted the frame (which I cut with MFT Inside Out Stitched Oval Die-namics) off of the front of my card with craft foam.
TIP: My frame has 3 layers: Green, Orange and Craft Foam — Cut each layer seperately with the die-namic. It won’t cut through multiple layers — I tried. 😕 Although running them through together did leave an imprint so I knew exactly where to place the die for perfect layering — just use temporary adhesive to keep them together for the marking process.
The Happy Halloween greeting is from the retired Stampin’ Up! set: And Many More and the pumpkins are from the Simon Says Stamp/Neat and Tangled STAMPtember set: Nuts About You. I colored the pumpkins in with Copics and mounted some on the frame to give them some depth.
